Washington, DC (Hollywood Backstage) - At 11:15 AM EST, President Obama will sign into law the $940 Billion Dollar Health Care Reform Bill. Now that the House and Senate have passed the bill, a second set of changes known as a compromise bill goes back to the Senate in a complicated legal and procedural battle of political strategy.

If even one word of the original bill is changed, the bill will be forced back into the House of Representatives. 171 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted against the bill. Republicans are bitterly disappointed by their public defeat and they will use any tactics to flip the bill back to the House. They will try to amend or kill the compromise package.

Here are some facts about the Health Care Reform Bill:

  • Individual Mandate: Almost all americans must have insurance or pay a penalty
  • Larger employers must cover workers or pay a penalty
  • New health insurance exchange for uninsured and small businesses
  • Medicaid expanded to 16 million people
  • Insurance companies can no longer deny coverage to children with pre-existing conditions
  • New high risk insurance pool for people with pre-existing conditions
  • Young adults will be able to stay on parents' plan until age 26
