Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin Host Oscars

The 2010 Oscars promises to be the funniest show in Oscar history. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are two very funny guys that promise to make this the funniest, if not the best, Academy Awards show ever.

Alec has not been getting along with Photographers lately. They have been stalking him since his brief excursion to a NY Hospital last week. According to some reports, Baldwin grabbed at a paparazzo, identified by the Daily News as New York Post photographer Tim Wiencis, pulling him by the collar.

Baldwin has never hosted the Academy Awards, although he has been a presenter. In 2009, "30 Rock" NBC Thursdays 9:30/8:30c received a record breaking 22 primetime Emmy Award nominations and won 5 Emmy Awards, including Best Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series (Alec Baldwin).

Incredible as it sounds, Steve Martin won a Grammy this year in the category of Best Bluegrass Album for his album The Crow: New Songs For The Five-String Banjo.

Here are some little known facts about Steve Martin. Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin (born August 14, 1945) is an American actor, comedian, writer, playwright, producer, musician, and composer. He was raised in Southern California, where his early influences were working at Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm and working magic and comedy acts at these and other smaller venues in the area. His ascent to fame picked up when he became a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and later became a frequent guest on the Tonight Show and he thinks he's really great. (just kidding)

In the 1970s, Martin performed his offbeat, absurdist comedy routines, which included "cat juggling" and wearing bunny ears, before packed houses on national tours. In the 1980s, having branched away from stand-up comedy, he became a successful actor, playwright, pianist, and juggler, and eventually earned Emmy, Grammy, and American Comedy awards.
